1: the compulsion to save the world
2: On Shri Kalki
3: W.W.3: some present threats
4:1982, Now if people do not accept,...
...Supposing I get lost somewhere and the car is going in a wrong way, alright, I have to go that way, that's why I'm going like that. What is there to feel upset about? So many things, small, big happen in your life for which you get upset.
But now with this blessing of Sahasrara you'll be amazed there is help from Paramchaitanya, and that means a tremendous help because it acts globally, it acts individually, it acts on communities, it acts on nations, because there is divine, what you call divine. There is a divine play going on.
And this divine play plays tremendous beautiful things by which people start correcting themselves.
4:1982, Now if people do not accept,...
I am sorry to give such a long page. While spending 4 days in Nargol in spring 2012, I could listen to more tapes, during the hot moments of the day. I had the feeling that the next talk gives a unique insight in Shri Mataji’s definition of Realization, and what are the aims of Sahaja Yoga: why did She open the Sahasrara on this same beach, under this tree, and how the Kundalini awakening is supposed to “save the world”.
1: The compulsion to save the world
...But you cannot become your Self unless and until this Sahasrara, this brain, is opened out and the Kundalini becomes one with the Paramchaitanya.
Before that, you are in complete ignorance about what is good and what is bad. Whatever you think, for this brain, is good you do it. But whatever is really good you do not know because you do not know the reality.

Vagus nerve scheme. |
Now we have to understand the consciousness that we have - consciousness of being alive, consciousness of so many things we have, and the so-called knowledge we have about everything.
All that consciousness is stored near the liver, for your information, by this diaphragm. But then this consciousness starts rising higher and higher, then you become aware. In the evolutionary process you become aware... ...
All that consciousness is stored near the liver, for your information, by this diaphragm. But then this consciousness starts rising higher and higher, then you become aware. In the evolutionary process you become aware... ...
So now the awareness is going towards another direction, which is darkness, which is not light ...
... Human beings don't have any particular reason as such, to hate someone. But why it works out, is because they are involved in their ego. An egoistical person feels that he has a right to do what he wants to do. He can kill anybody, he can bomb anyone, he can do whatever he likes. But a person who is not doing that is the other way round - he’s frightened. He's afraid of someone. ...

But a person who is not doing that is the other way round - he’s frightened. He's afraid of someone. ...
... So what is important is that you should know reality.
You should know exactly what is right and what is wrong.
For that, as I told you, there is this great power of Kundalini within you. She's the one, she passes through all these centers, enlightens them first of all - so your awareness gets enlightened - and when she pierces through Sahasrara, she joins you to this all-pervading power, which is knowledge, which is love, which is truth.

So after that, you immediately know - some people don't know immediately, but some people do - ... Immediately on these vibrations you will know.
So what are these vibrations, is the Paramchaitanya.
We call it 'Brahmachaitanya', which starts flowing through your fingertips. Now you start feeling what chakras they are catching, whether they are right or wrong, and your discretion improves immensely. The brain, which was putting you in delusions and wrong type of life, immediately corrects itself.
For example, ...

Now you start feeling what chakras they are catching, whether they are right or wrong, and your discretion improves immensely. The brain, which was putting you in delusions and wrong type of life, immediately corrects itself.
For example, ...
Unless and until you see that reality, you will be going with other crowd. 'These people are saying so, so let's do that. They are saying so, so let's do that'.
But you cannot see whether it is correct or not, whether it is good for you or not, or whether it is going to help you.
But you cannot see whether it is correct or not, whether it is good for you or not, or whether it is going to help you.
... Up to this point is alright, but then, you must have full understanding that:
whatever right is right, and whatever wrong is wrong,
and we should not do anything that is wrong, always do the right!
You have to decide on that point.
Now we have to do the right only, never the wrong. This is when it comes to your mind. Then what starts, is your determination - what we call as devotion, dedication, surrendering.
With that, you give up all your false ideas, and all your false pride, all other things that you have been doing so far. And immediately you become a different person, a beautiful person.

Now the third thing that happens to you, which never happened to you before, that you feel that
unless and until I give the same state to other people, it won't be alright. It won't be alright for me to talk to them.
So you start talking to your brothers, sisters. Then you start talking to other people. The whole nation you can talk to, about Sahaja Yoga, that 'I have gained so much; I have got these things, so now why not you take it?'
unless and until I give the same state to other people, it won't be alright. It won't be alright for me to talk to them.
So you start talking to your brothers, sisters. Then you start talking to other people. The whole nation you can talk to, about Sahaja Yoga, that 'I have gained so much; I have got these things, so now why not you take it?'
But to expect that by talking, by discussion, by arguments by sermons...they will never take to it, because their brain, as I told you, is just the same, still full of ignorance.
So what youhave to do is to raise their Kundalini.
Once you raise their Kundalini and their brain opens, then they are on the same line as yourself. They don't have to worry about what is good and what is bad, they know themselves.
So what youhave to do is to raise their Kundalini.
Once you raise their Kundalini and their brain opens, then they are on the same line as yourself. They don't have to worry about what is good and what is bad, they know themselves.
Now that is what is very important: to correct this world is very important.
That you all should know what is right and what is wrong, and you have a vehicle of Paramchaitanya to know what is wrong and what is right. Now this strength starts moving and as you see there are so many people today with their open Sahasrara. So, opening Sahasrara was the most important part of the evolutionary process. All the evolutionary process brought human beings to what level? We had wars, we had all kinds of silly programs by which we really ruined so many countries, so many people.

Now, when you are one with that all-pervading power,
it's a pure power, it's a nirmal power, absolutely pure power, that gives you complete sense and complete understanding as to how you should move,
how you should live and what you should have?
This is what is Self-realisation, they say, but I would say that Self-realisation is much further than that. Even if your brain is enriched by the knowledge, the real knowledge, still there are other things which you should have, and the most important thing is that you have to be completely aware, again I say the word 'aware', of where you stand in this big plan of world global transformation.

Sofia, Bulgaria, 1990. |
You are here for a special job
What is your position? What are you supposed to do for this global transformation?
What is your position? Where do you stand? What is the work for you to be done?
Now you've got this compulsion on you that 'I have to do something', when this compulsion starts working on you, which is not dreadful, which is not annoying, but very peaceful and joyful; which says that,
'I have to see that others also know themselves!''.
So to know themselves is, first of all, you must know your own chakras.
Yes, many people get their realisation, I know, very quickly,
but they do not settle down with their chakras. They have to see to their chakras, why you have problems on your chakras. They will know they have problems, but they still go on without paying attention or without looking at it.
To them it is a kind of a "by the way" you can say, that "these problems are with me doesn't matter, but what does it matter as long as I am working out Sahaja Yoga?"
To them it is a kind of a "by the way" you can say, that "these problems are with me doesn't matter, but what does it matter as long as I am working out Sahaja Yoga?"
It is not only for others, but for yourself also.
It's important that you should get your chakras corrected. That's the most important thing for you, and then you will have Self-knowledge.
In the sense, you'll know what is the defect, where is the defect, 'what am I doing wrong?', 'what should I do?'. And then, when you correct it, when you correct those centers, then your awareness, I would say, will be really fully enlightened about all the world.

...First of all you should see if you are a peaceful person. If there's peace in your heart.
- If you have no peace in your heart then you are not a Sahaja Yogi. If you get excited and if you start shouting at people and all that, it means you are not Sahaja Yogis. You have to have a very, very peaceful temperament. That is very important.
- Now, with that peace what should be there: - pure compassion. What you are doing is not for your benefit as such, but because you are compelled by this force to do good for others, to transform them. This is the greatest good you can do to others, that their brains are put right, they get rid of their diseases, they get rid of their problems, it's all there.

- But the first thing and the most important thing that happens is that they get the power to transform others. When you have that power to transform others you should not waste it.
You should not use it for yourself, -that means the growth is not complete.
You must talk about it, you must tell about it and you must work it out, wherever it is possible. You have to work it out. This is the way we can spread people on a global level, who can get complete transformation.

And this divine play plays tremendous beautiful things by which people start correcting themselves.
..So you should never be nervous, you should never be upset because you have the divine power within you and it will correct.
It can correct anyone.
I mean recently we had a case of one boy who was hit by a truck and they said his lungs were smashed. Now with the lungs smashed nobody has heard that they become normal. Not only he became normal but he started breathing normally and now he's alright.
All this work is done by Paramchaitanya. You don't have to do anything, any problem that comes before you before it really touches you it's solved by the Paramchaitanya.
But you must have full faith in yourself and in Paramchaitanya and believe that you are a realised soul. Nobody can harm you. If they try to harm you for the time being, alright you may suffer, but you don't also feel the sufferings and you get out of it. Such a security, such a proper guidance is there. ...
... Because you are not aware also of this Paramchaitanya, that's why you a little bit get worried, and people write to me 'Mother, something wrong with my daughter', or something like this. Everything can be corrected by Paramchaitanya, if you know how to leave it to that, if you understand how you are one with that Paramchaitanya - you're a part and parcel of that, and that Paramchaitanya is looking after you.
You don't have a very conscious effort, there's no need to have a very conscious effort:
You don't have a very conscious effort, there's no need to have a very conscious effort:
Accept life as it is.
As it is, whatever life is there, accept it. Don't retaliate, don't get angry, don't get upset, just accept and you'll enjoy the same life which was irritating you. You will see the enjoying part of that and it will be so beautiful the way you will see that you'll get over all your problems. You'll get over all your enemies and a kind of a very fresh beautiful existence you'll have.
So now, as you are all Sahaja Yogis, it's a very great position. With that, if you humble down, humble down, then you'll be amazed to see that you are absolutely in contact with this Paramchaitanya.

Not only that, but you have become Paramchaitanya.
With this Paramchaitanya you can do anything. I need not tell you what you can do, because some of you may not believe. But my own experience is, that if you are the Paramchaitanya, if you know you are the Paramchaitanya, then it keeps your dignity, it keeps your position, it keeps your word and looks after you. And whatever is just said or desired, you just get it.

Chhindwara city, 21 March 2012 |
Your desires also change.
Your desires are not for stupid things, but for something that is very noble. Like, you want to transform people, you want to do Sahaja Yoga work. All these desires are fulfilled fully when you want to do it, you like it and you think of it. It is something, even seeing something: if you see something and you are stunned by that, immediately Paramchaitanya will take over and you will have no problems, no problems.
Because the way we react to all these difficulties and to so called odds in life becomes a play, just a play. You are amazed; you looked at it - and finished! Look at that - and finished! That is how it is the light, if it goes into the darkness and finishes the darkness. The darkness is finished and our problems are finished also.

So this is what is our awareness has to become. Awareness has to become Paramchaitanya. Then you get all the ideas, everything, that are divine, but not only that but also the help of the divine all the solutions of the divine. It's something amazing and everything quietens down, everything settles down, and you are amazed watching all this that you are the center of doing all these things.
You are not aware that you are doing, and you are there. That ego part is missing, but you see it's all happening around, you and then you are amazed how it is happening.
The whole life style changes, the whole understanding changes, and you become a great source of happiness, joy and knowledge to others. You don't have to study anything. You don't have to know much, but you will know about everything, what is right and what is wrong. And then only you can tell the things with complete authority, that 'This is not right'.

2010. |
.. Now it is for you to create seeds to spread Sahaja Yoga.
You are now at that level of awareness now, where Paramchaitanya is with you, absolutely part and parcel of you, absolutely with you to give you all necessary help, all necessary prestige and also the personality.

Mother began by saying that the Incarnation of the New Age and the Satya Yuga was the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Shri Kalki (as widely described in his book "The Game of Creation").
"I am the mother of Shri Kalki and My only goal is to give birth to the Incarnation which is the Collective Being, the Virata.
Mahakali Puja, 1990, Paris |
For this I am working on all the molecules of which have to make up the chakras of this Incarnation.
I started in the Moladhara (Australia) and now I'm still missing Agnya Chakra (Russia).
When all the cells needed for the birth of Shri Kalki will be ready in this world, I will return to India to raise the Kundalini of Virata (India). When the Kundalini reaches the Sahasrara (the Himalayas and the largest mountains) Shri Kalki (God, Spirit, in this human world) will put His feet on this earth and my job will be completed and I will leave the human world."
To the question: "Mother all Sahaja Yogis will be cells of Shri Kalki?" She said:
"No, the arrival of Almighty God to earth will result in the beginning in a general awakening among the majority of humanity who are not seekers, and they will meet the Sahaja Yogis who will have to be their guide."
I ventured to ask: "What will happen to the Sahaja Yogis that have become cells of Shri Kalki?". She stared at me showing that I had understood very little. She said:
"They will not exist anymore, they will be the spirit, THE DROP WILL BECOME THE OCEAN."
Asking why, after the arrival of Shri Kalki, She was leaving, She replied:
"BECAUSE I'M A MOTHER, AND A MOTHER CANNOT BEAR CERTAIN THINGS ..."

Ezio from Milan found himself in Genoa with the daughter of Mother (Sadhana Didi) on his return from Mother 's samadhi (place). He reports the dialog:
He spoke to Her of this account of Volterra that he had told about earlier. At the time, they realized they actually had returned with Mother to India in November 2010 for the Virata Puja which was attended by forty thousand Sahaja Yogis and soon after Her return She went back to Her Virata form.
It was then that Sadhana Didi recollected some very important happenings that took place a few moments before Mother left:Shri Mataji told her she had not recognized Her, that She was the Virata.
Sadhana Didi asked her mother: "What is the Virata?"
And then Sadhana Didi began to realize and see the absolute and complete expression of Reality (Virata). When she came back to human consciousness Mother said, "NOW YOU HAVE KNOWN ME."

It doesn’t matter if I can’t go to your places. It doesn’t matter, nothing matters. Christ’s disciples worked when he never existed.

3: ON THIRD WORLD WAR
Riots in China against Japanese car retailers |
1- South China Sea Islets
A commentator in the People's Liberation Army Daily, the main newspaper of China's military, called Japan's move
"the most blatant challenge to China's sovereignty since the end of the second world war".
China has also started broadcasting a daily marine weather report for the islands.
Protesters gathered outside the Japanese embassy in Beijing chanting: "Japan, get out of China."
2 - Nuclear threat in Iran
Iran's top military commander yesterday:‘nothing will remain’ of Israel if it took military action against the Islamic republic’s controversial nuclear programme.

"Otherwise, .. |
If...
And then, if there are sufficient number of Sahaja Yogis, then you don’t need a third world war.Otherwise, there could be a third world war.
And, after that third world war,
people will gather together.
Even if you have that, then only the Sahaja Yogis will be respected and will be called to have a conference instead of these horrible politicians. It’s quite a lot, but Gavin is going to prepare that and is going to send to all of you. Are you getting Nirmala Yoga here?
(1982, 25 April, Appartment of Ruth, Rome)
"I cannot guarantee... |
But I wonder, unless and until we know the Spirit, I cannot guarantee, or I cannot say with guarantee,
that we'll not have the Third World War of complete destruction.
No use carrying banners of peace, stopping the atomic invasion, all that is of no avail whatsoever. We will not be destroyed by atomic bombs; we'll be destroyed by ourselves. That is why it is absolutely important at this time to know ourselves. We cannot be indifferent to this important point. Specially I request you because you are seekers of truth, and you are the ones who can save the world. It is such a responsibility on you people that you have to know what is your Spirit and what is the Spirit of others, how you have to enlighten others.

Philippines: China becoming 'more aggressive'

China is growing "more aggressive" in dealing with rival territorial claims, the Philippines said Wednesday, after a fresh spat erupted between Tokyo and Beijing over a remote chain of islands. "It looks like they are becoming more aggressive every day," said Philippine Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario, whose own country is locked in a months-long dispute with China over a shoal in the South China Sea.
Beijing on Wednesday asserted its "indisputable sovereignty" over the uninhabited territory in the East China Sea after three Chinese patrol boats approached the islands, prompting Japan to summon the Chinese ambassador.
The dispute, which centres around islands in the East China Sea known as Senkaku in Japanese and Diaoyu in Chinese, is the latest territorial row involving China and its neighbours.
It comes as China and Southeast Asian countries struggle to make progress on a code of conduct to ease tension in the resource-rich South China Sea.
Tensions have flared recently in the area with both Vietnam and the Philippines accusing Beijing of aggression. China claims essentially all of the South China Sea, home to vital shipping lanes and believed to be rich in oil and gas deposits. Taiwan and ASEAN members the Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei and Malaysia also have claims in the waters.
Foreign ministers from across the region are currently meeting in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh for a week-long security forum which has been dominated by efforts to ease friction over the competing claims.
A joint statement by the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has been held up as countries wrangle over whether to include a reference to recent incidents in the South China Sea.
Del Rosario told reporters in Phnom Penh it had been a "difficult" day, adding that he was still pushing for a mention of the tense situation in the Scarborough Shoal, a group of rocky outcrops also claimed by China.

TEHRAN: Iran on Tuesday test-fired in its central desert a ballistic missile capable of striking Israel as part of war games designed to show its ability to retaliate if attacked, media said.
Iran's Revolutionary Guard fired the medium-range Shahab-3 missile at a mock target in the Kavir Desert on the second day of its Great Prophet 7 exercise, which is due to end on Wednesday, Iran's Al-Alam television network reported.
The Shahab-3 has a range of up to 2,000 kilometres (1,200 miles), which means it is theoretically able to hit Israel, which is some 1,000 kilometres away.Al-Alam said two short-range missiles, the Shahab-1 and Shahab-2, with ranges of 300 to 500 kilometres, were also launched.
The Fars news agency said "dozens of short-, medium-, and long-range missiles have been fired from different parts of Iran at a single target in Kavir."
The ISNA news agency said the last day of the drill would see Revolutionary Guard "bomber drones" also used.
Although the Islamic republic has test-fired its Shahab missiles before, and frequently holds military manoeuvres, it says these war games are aimed at sending a message to Israel and the United States to think twice on their threats of possibly attacking Iran.
The Great Prophet 7 exercise targeted a replica military base set up in a desert and made to look like a foreign facility, similar to those the United States has in neighbouring countries such as Afghanistan.
The launch of the Shahab-3 missile coincided with the day official experts from Iran and world powers were to hold talks in Istanbul to discuss the West's push to have Tehran scale back its sensitive nuclear programme.
Israel, which is not part of the talks, and its ally the United States have both said they reserve the option of launching military action on Iran if diplomacy and sanctions fail to convince it to curb its atomic activities.

Iran’s Army Air Force fully prepared for unequaled battle
The helicopters of Iran's Army have been equipped with systems that will enable them to compete in an unequalled fight.”
A senior Iranian commander has scoffed at the military threats against the Islamic Republic, saying Iran’s Army Air Force (IRAF) is fully prepared for an unequalled battle. “The helicopters of Iran's Army have been equipped with systems that will enable them to compete in an unequalled battle,” Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan told IRNA on Sunday.
He added that the Army’s helicpoters have been improved in technical and tactical terms to prepare them for the unequalled battle.
The Iranian commander emphasized that the IRAF units have great power and will strongly defend the country.

Egypt's Morsi to rethink Israel peace pact, builds Iran ties

TEHRAN: Egypt's Islamist president-elect, Mohamed Morsi, wants to "reconsider" the peace deal with Israel and build ties with Iran to "create a strategic balance" in the Middle East, according to an interview published by Iran's Fars news agency on Monday.
The stated goals are certain to alarm Israel and its ally the United States as they adapt to the new direction Egypt will chart with Morsi at the helm.
They could also boost Iran's influence in the Middle East at a time of heightened tensions between Tehran and the West.
"We will reconsider the Camp David Accord" that, in 1979, forged a peace between Egypt and Israel that has held for more than three decades, ...
Now, 4th generation is about 5 millions |
He said the issue of Palestinian refugees returning to homes their families abandoned in the 1948 Arab-Israeli war and the 1967 Six-Day War "is very important".
Morsi added though that "all these issues will be carried out through cabinet and governmental bodies because I will not take any decision on my own."
Morsi also said he was ready to improve ties with Iran. The Islamic republic broke off diplomatic relations with Egypt in 1980, a year after Cairo signed the peace deal with the Jewish state.
Although Morsi resigned from Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood to take the top job, Israel is wary of his election, fearing his Islamist record could jeopardise the chilly peace it has long enjoyed with its huge neighbour.
Iran's foreign ministry on Sunday welcomed Morsi's triumph. Its message made no mention, however, of Iran and Egypt resuming diplomatic ties.
Iran's clerical leadership contends that the Arab Spring that toppled veteran Egyptian strongman Hosni Mubarak and other longtime US allies in the Arab world last year was inspired by its own 1979 Islamic revolution.
Although Iran's predominant faith is Shiite Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood adheres to the Sunni branch of Islam, Tehran has been reaching out to the organisation in Egypt in recent months.
Iran's armed forces chief of staff, General Hassan Firouzabadi, on Monday was quoted by IRNA as echoing the Muslim Brotherhood's rejection of moves by Egypt's military to dissolve the Islamist-led parliament and to give itself a greater say over government policy and the constitution.
"The actions of the military council in Egypt, which considers itself to be selected by Mubarak, lack legal validity and political legitimacy," Firouzabadi said.

India plans strategic encirclement of China
The conclusion of the Rio+20 Summit in Brazil in June saw only a disappointing outcome, despite it being labelled a "once-in-a-generation chance" to direct the global economy in a sustainable direction and the much positive talk from various world leaders. However, while discussions concerning the global economy took place, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and his Indian counterpart, Manmohan Singh, held talks on the sidelines concerning their bilateral relationship, with both urging strengthened cooperation between the Asian giants.
Singh emphasized that India had no intention to contain China, and he would not tolerate any anti-China activities on Indian soil. We have seen numerous examples of Chinese and Indian politicians meeting to discuss relations strewn with optimistic language. However, despite sustained reassurances from both sides that their respective governments are not pursuing any containment and encirclement strategies of their neighbor, actions over recent years paint a very different picture.
There has been a particular growing fear of a "China Threat" within Indian government and strategist circles over the past decade, with many feeling Beijing is engaging in encirclement and containment strategies in a persistent attempt to tie India down to the Indian subcontinent. Responding to this perceived threat, New Delhi has gradually been undertaking a combination of internal balancing, by means of increasing its military capabilities on both land and at sea, and external balancing, via military cooperation with states in East and Southeast Asia.
Indian internal balancing has taken various forms and has been reflected in the increasing defense budget which was announced as US$41 billion for 2012-13, a 17% increase on the previous year.
Firstly, this has helped to fund an ongoing military modernization program with the recent deal for 126 French Rafale fighters to be supplied by Dassault over the coming decade in conjunction with over 200 fifth-generation fighter aircraft to be developed in cooperation with Russia by 2017.
Secondly, India has been strengthening its defenses along its disputed border regions with China; 100,000 additional troops were stationed along the Line of Actual Control in 2011, along with the deployment of the 300-kilometer range BrahMos cruise missile along the eastern border region. These deployments have been complemented by increasing infrastructural developments including new roads and the construction and upgrading of assorted air bases across the regions.
Finally, and most significantly, India has been bolstering its nuclear capabilities with its "flawless" test of the Agni-V missile, which is able to carry a nuclear warhead and with a 5,000-kilometer range can strike a majority of major Chinese cities along its eastern seaboard.
In addition to military modernization on land, New Delhi has been developing its naval capabilities with naval commanders taking a visible turn in the direction of the teachings of Alfred T Mahan and his sea-based geopolitical philosophy, with ambitious future plans for a fully fledged and highly capable blue water navy able to protect coastal waters, vital sea lanes of communication and project power deep into the Indian and surrounding oceans.
Naval modernization has included the establishment of two new deep-sea naval port facilities at Kawar on the southwest coast and near Viskhapatnam as part of the Eastern Naval Command. In tandem with the establishment of the Far Eastern Naval Command (FENC) at Port Blair in the Andaman Islands, the Indian Navy is able to project power across the Bay of Bengal and into the Strait of Malacca, intensifying China's "Malacca Dilemma". These developments have been complemented by the increasing purchases and indigenous development of naval hardware, including the nuclear submarine INS Chakra on a 10-year lease form Russia and the locally developed INS Airhant. Additionally, the former Russian aircraft carrier Gorshkov, renamed INS Vikramaditya, is to be commissioned into service of the Indian Navy by December 2012. These recent enlargements will make up part of a planned 160-vessel fleet including three aircraft carrier groups by the mid 2020s, outlined by Indian Naval Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta. Internal balancing is taking considerable shape with increasing hardware purchases and consistent upgrading of military capabilities along the border with China and also in the naval realm, where China is undergoing rapid expansion, increasing competition in and around the Indian Ocean. This balancing has also taken considerable shape in terms of external balancing and cooperation with other states in the region.
Military cooperation with other states extends across the realms of both land and sea. On land, New Delhi has become increasingly invested in its relations with Afghanistan, establishing a Strategic Partnership in October 2011, eyeing a greater role following the planned 2014 withdrawal of coalition forces.
With Tajikistan, India has increased its interaction with Tajik security forces and has provided funding for the upgrading of the Farkhor and Ayni air bases succeeding construction of a military hospital and logistics depot. Ayni air base is of particular significance with reports that Tajikistan, India and Russia are in talks over the joint use of the base and that an Indian air force currently has Mi-17 helicopters and has leased Russian fighter jets stationed at the base.
New Delhi has also increased cooperation with Mongolia, signing an agreement on Defense Cooperation in 2001, positioning radar systems able to monitor Chinese missile tests, holding bilateral military exercises since 2004 and having a quiet discussion over basing rights.
Indian relations with Tajikistan and Afghanistan in particular also have the potential to undermine China's use of Pakistan as a proxy state against India in an attempt to split its focus along two fronts. With greater influence in Afghanistan, New Delhi can potentially undercut Pakistani influence in a country which Islamabad has traditionally considered as within its strategic sphere of influence.
Extending into the maritime realm, further cooperation and encirclement can be observed as India has developed ties with some historically contentious neighbors of the Chinese. First of all, Indo-Singapore relations have flourished in recent years with their Defense Cooperation agreement of 2003 upgrading ties and extending bilateral military exercises into all three wings of the armed forces, and most significantly the SIMBEX naval exercises in the Bay of Bengal and South China Sea.
Relations with Singapore have particular geopolitical importance as Singapore is at the western approaches to the South China Sea and eastern approaches to the Strait of Malacca, both vital sea lanes of communication for India and China. Close security relations between New Delhi and Singapore allow for strong power projection by the Indian navy into the South China Sea, an area of particular sensitivity to China with its claims of sovereignty over the sea; they also allow for India to threaten the closure of the Strait of Malacca, exacerbating Beijing's "Malacca Dilemma".
Next stop along India's maritime encirclement of China is Vietnam, with New Delhi and Hanoi sharing a history of conflict with China. Strong ties exist dating back to their 1994 defense agreement and include military training and bilateral naval exercises carried out in the South China Sea which have drawn much criticism from Beijing, not helped by the talk of India providing BrahMos missiles to Vietnam, presenting an undeniable deterrent to Chinese aggression in the South China Sea.
Hanoi has also recently granted the Indian Navy basing rights at the Nha Trang port, providing a foothold in the South China Sea and intensifying Chinese fears, demonstrated by the July 22, 2011, confrontation of INS Airavat when operating off the Vietnamese coast.
Indo-Japanese security relations provide a real security dilemma for China, as close ties between these two historically contentious neighbors pose the possibility of a pincer movement by two great powers and complete the encirclement of China by land and sea.
Ties between India and Japan are continuously growing and expanding further into the security field with the MALABAR naval exercises. These relations and encirclement of China is further complemented by expanding ties with Japan's old ally and China's greatest threat, the United States. While ties between New Delhi and Washington remain fairly low key, partially due to India's non-alignment strategy, they hold the greatest potential for containment of China. Both sides hold their relations in high esteem, with President Barack Obama proclaiming that their relationship "will be one of the defining relationships of the 21st century".
Despite the constant rhetoric emanating from India proclaiming it has no intention of encirclement or containment of its communist neighbor, its actions, as so often found in international relations, speak much louder volumes about its intentions and reveal a great concern over China's rise to Great Power status.
However, these concerns may be well placed as China has been undertaking many actions which can easily be interpreted as an effort to encircle India and contain its rise, tying it down to the Indian subcontinent. So depending on which angle one observes the situation from, either side can be construed to be the aggressor or just acting in a defensive manner.

SHRI MATAJI SAID... 1982-1985
SHRI MATAJI SAID... 1982-1985
1982: Now if people do not accept,...
The time has come. It could not be done earlier, I agreed, but the time has come. You have evolved to that state and that's why it has to happen.
Now if people do not accept, I must say this, futuristic problem, in case human beings do not accept it in a big number and become that, we cannot avoid the third world war.
By that war a new consciousness may rise where people will understand this hatred is the worse thing. Perhaps we need a third shock; we have had two. Perhaps we need a third shock, to give us that elevation, to get that position of higher consciousness, where we start realising that this thing's based on materialistic and on hatred, gross living, is most dangerous to humanity. Then such people who really believe in love will rise and come up and they might be the ones who will be saved.

Then such people who really believe in love will rise and come up and they might be the ones who will be saved.
So we should at this stage try to save as many as possible from this horrible sinking maya of hatred. Now talking about it has been done.
Establishment of your sustenance has been done in the sense that if you can awaken that sustenance within you, on the void, you can achieve it. But main thing is even after Realization to identify yourself as a Realized soul, absolutely, that you are being given something very special, that you have your Spirit, which is manifesting and that you have to make good out of it, that you have to give it to others, that you have to work it out, you have to be a collective being, and not a secluded person just attached to few minds of' “my house, my husband, my wife, my children, my chair, you can say, my hair, my nose”, everything, whatsoever. To reduce yourself to that small world but to expand yourself to that great world which is Jehovah's world, which is Krishna's world, which is Virata's world, where you become one with that primordial being, where you become an active cell of that primordial being, that's the thing one has to do. And that breakthrough has to take place.

Religions against Self Realization... |
There was a great guru, who, very well-known for his astrological predictions, you see. He has written two books, you see. One of them is called as Nadi Gruhanath and in that thing he has written about Sahaja Yoga, that it will start in 1970, and a new method will start by which the sleeping Kundalini Shakti will be awakened , and people will get their Realization. Such a lot he has written that I know, really it’s most surprising, and I have asked Gavin to write down the whole thing, whatever is rest said. Yes, and then people will be cured of their diseases: you don’t need any institutions like hospital. And then, if there are sufficient number of Sahaja Yogis, then you don’t need a third world war. Otherwise, there could be a third world war. And after that third world war, people will gather together. Even if you have that, then only the Sahaja Yogis will be respected and will be called to have a conference instead of these horrible politicians.
1982 Rome, at Ruth’s apt. April 25
He says that .../...They may have to go for a third world war and they will have to suffer for it. After that this great incarnation will interfere and all the countries will come together with the understanding of collective oneness and they will understand that war is so horrible. In a very big, I don't know which one, in a very big city a conference of all the countries will be held. There, not the politicians but, the yogis will direct them. Yogis, he has called you yogis throughout.
This might be the third war we had with China maybe, so maybe China because he says that because of China's aggressive policies and the third world war, uh, we may have to bear lot of, uh, we would have to bear lots of problems, you see. And these we'll have to fill up the gaps here. But by through prayers, we'll be able to unite all the countries.
1982, January 27 Sholapur/Predictions
You should say, that She has come, believe, She is the Holy Ghost. Believe us it is so, just write it down. Those ridiculous, stupid people, you go to hell. Tell them that. Let them know that. Otherwise I can't have this going on forever. You see, this is very inconvenient, this sort of a thing, that we can only help one hundred people or two hundred people. But we can't let the whole of Austria, the whole of the world come here going round in Maharashtra. Later on you all can start it, once I start building up places for you and you can all go and see places, settle down yourself, manage it that's the different point. But just now I think you can only live in wars which is a horrid thing. So the whole thing is much more important that a person like you, who gets an experience like that, should go back and jump on their heads and tell them: "What are you up to?" These Indians are going to go ahead first, but “You are all going to hell and the greatest thing is the third world war, which is inevitable”.
But don't get into personal things, this personal nonsense is the worst of it. Think that you have to produce something productive. All right? Everyone of you is a big saint, is a great saint. Yesterday I told you the description of the Yoga and you knew about it. ...
But don't get into personal things, this personal nonsense is the worst of it. Think that you have to produce something productive. All right? Everyone of you is a big saint, is a great saint. Yesterday I told you the description of the Yoga and you knew about it. ...

Nuclear heads: How many still remain...? |
But I wonder, unless and until we know the Spirit, I cannot guarantee, or I cannot say with guarantee, that we'll not have the Third World War of complete destruction.
